Muse Fleur Home And Garden

Fostering Kindness

Foster random acts of kindness. Start small by offering a book box library exchange for your community, take one- leave approach. Help your senior neighbor with her lawn care. Plant eatable fruit and flowers for pedestrians walking by your home. Random acts of kindness reminds us humanity still exists.

Creating community through purpose and intention

Have you ever thought about starting a community garden or a garden club where you offer a seed and plant exchange? or perhaps organize a community garage sale, one persons trash is another persons treasure. Host a garden to table pizza fundraiser for a non profit you admire. There are several worth mentioning. No kid hungry, Feed America, World Central kitchen. Explore the idea of creating a Barter & Trade exchange within your community. Volunteer at an animal shelter or a food pantry for a family outing.

Creating sacred spaces to support wellness

Weather you find a spot in your garden, turn a spare bedroom into a meditation room, convert a shed into a retreat or transform a green house into a sanctuary to unplug. I know it sounds like an old cliche, the term mind, body, spirit but as we begin to recognize the interconnectedness of our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health we gain a better understanding of our own self needs, others and the society we live in.

 Wellness Routines

Weekly nature walks, outdoor yoga in the park, group Tia chia classes, surfing, bicycling, beach volleyball or horseback riding. Nurture your creative side by painting in a flower field, attend a writing class, join a weekly book or gardening club.

The practice of Grounding, connecting with ones self , the creator and our environment

I recently heard about the term Grounding and began implying it in my own life. It's a simple but fascinating approach to centering and calming oneself. It involves standing barefoot on the grass, connecting with the earth. It's believed to offer healing properties, just like a tree gives oxygen and supports humans. At first you may feel silly about doing it but as you go along you begin to embrace the practice. Exhaling any negative energy, expelling thoughts and clearing your mind and inhaling a new. Connecting with your senses of touch, hearing, smell, sight, and taste.

Practice Resilience

Were resilient, always adapting to changes and challenges were faced with. Sometimes we struggle and fall but we get back up. We learn, we grow, we adapt, we evolve. Its okay to be human, in fact it's a gift. If you see a person struggling, help them back up with a word of encouragement. Sometimes all they need is someone who cares and supports the attitude of you can do it! you can face what ever knocked you down and overcome it. Growing pains, from adolescent to maturity. You can heal and mend from a broken heart. You can learn, adapt and change course. Often times your experiences will alter the course you've been on toward a direction that is better for you. It may involve leaving friends, systems, practices or even a family member you know is no longer good for your life or higher good.
